Gödöllő is located 30 minutes drive north from Budapest. The main attraction of Gödöllő is the Grassalkovich Palace, better known as the former summer residence of Queen Elisabeth. Constructed by Antal Grassalkovich in the 18th century and given to Franz Joseph and Queen Elisabeth as a gift from the Hungarian state for their coronation in 1867.

After visiting Hungary`s largest Baroque Palace you drive to the nearby Lázár Equestrian Park to enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride in the countryside, a traditional horse show and a stroll in the stables to observe a variety of Hungarian breeds of pigs, cattle, dogs and other animals. The equestrian park of the famous Lázár Brothers (world champions in carriage driving) is located in a picturesque valley called Domonyvölgy. A delicious lunch is also served at the "Csárda" accompanied by wine and gipsy music.
