The Puszta tour takes you back in time to enjoy Hungarian folklore traditions and authentic cuisine in a wonderful way.

 

An unforgettable day in the Puszta starts with a visit to the main sights of Kecskemét. Take a short walk through Kecskemét, the cradle of the world-famous musical education method of Zoltán Kodály. The city is known for its culture, history, architecture and Pálinka production. Pálinka is our national drink, a great aperitif one should definitely try when visiting the Puszta!

Later you drive from Kecskemét to Lajosmizse, to the Puszta region. Puszta means ‘Great Plain’ in the Hungarian language. The area is famous for its many inhabitants, such as wild birds, horses, cattle and sheep. The tour includes a trip to the heart of the Puszta to a horse farm, where a welcome drink (Pálinka) is served. A horse-drawn carriage ride through the Puszta is followed by a performance by the famous Hungarian horsemen.

The horse-show displays an artistic performance by the highly skilled horsemen and also provides an opportunity to experience horse riding or carriage driving. A delicious lunch is served in the "Csárda" with wine and gypsy music.
